Lately, I’ve been diving deep into a variety of spiritual practices. At the same time, I’ve been trying to keep track of what I’m doing and whether it’s actually working. Honestly, it always is in some way. However, connecting all the dots has been a little challenging, especially since I explore so many different modalities.
The Intersection of Spirituality and Academia
Even so, I’ve come to see that if you truly desire something and have faith, support always comes through, even if the path doesn’t look the way you expected. For me, that support has come through my doctorate program, where I’m learning how to focus, do structured research, and study with intention. It's helping bring more clarity and organization to my spiritual journey.
I feel like I’m one of those rare people who walk in both worlds: the spiritual and the academic. Some people are fully immersed in one or the other, but I naturally sit somewhere in between. Interestingly, a couple of other people in my cohort are on a similar path, and somehow, we keep getting grouped together in conversations. It feels like the universe knows exactly what I need.
Discovering My Purpose
What I’m starting to realize is that part of my purpose may be to explore spiritual practices in a more formal way. This exploration can help contribute to both scientific and academic understanding by asking deeper questions: Do these practices really work? How can we measure them? Can we build a bridge between science and spirit?
For me, there is a quiet joy in already knowing that these practices work. Even with that inner knowing, I still want to stay open and as unbiased as I can while exploring and sharing their impact. I also feel a responsibility to find ways to measure that impact, especially in a way that makes sense to those who value clear, tangible proof. If we can speak both the language of spirit and science, maybe we can help more people open to what’s possible.
The Evolution of Spiritual Technologies
I truly believe that spiritual technologies will continue to evolve. And maybe, just maybe, part of my role is to help bring them into the world in a way that is grounded but still full of magic.
The Living Wisdom of Language
Ancient wisdom has been with us for thousands of years, long before written language or books existed. Knowledge was passed down orally, from ancestors, parents, and grandparents, through stories, practices, and shared experiences.

Even when languages like Sanskrit or Hebrew began to emerge, they were layered with meaning and depth. One word could hold many interpretations. When we try to translate them into modern language, it often feels like something essential gets lost.
I remember someone, I think it was Dolores Cannon, explaining how a single word, like Christmas, can evoke so many different images: trees, snow, gifts, family gatherings, food, and love. One word carries so much. That’s exactly how spiritual language works. Symbols, words, and sounds carry layers of meaning, depending on the consciousness of the one receiving them.
Bridging Ancient and New: The Future is Now
The university I attend, Maharishi International University, has done extensive research on consciousness and science. Their focus is rooted in Vedic knowledge, which explores how both the world and consciousness operate at the most fundamental levels. I absolutely love it.
I resonate deeply with Vedic teachings, but I’m also very curious about other expressions of consciousness, especially how new age spirituality connects with ancient wisdoms like Atlantis and Lemuria.

Over time, I’ve come to see that the "ancient," the "modern," and the "future" all exist at once. Time isn’t always linear. Depending on our level of consciousness, we can access different layers of reality and wisdom. But we have to stay open. Each soul chooses what it wants to experience, not from the mind, but from a deeper, soul-level desire.
There’s a quote from my university that continues to guide and inspire me:
“Knowledge is structured in consciousness.”
It feels especially true as I write all of this because everything I’ve been learning, practicing, and integrating truly begins from within.
The Path Ahead
This is just the beginning. In the next blog, I’ll dive into one of the practices that really shifted things for me, the Magic of the Higher Heart, and what happened when I set the intention for peace in Gaza.
As I continue this journey, I remain committed to exploring the depths of spiritual practices. I believe that by merging science and spirituality, we can unlock new potentials for healing and understanding. The journey is ongoing, and I am excited to see where it leads.
